It was around a year ago that my friend approached me about his fantastic new idea for a web site (he has lots of great ideas, but this one is awesome). I was blown away by the concept of a site that merged the best elements of social sites such as Facebook, with adult dating/chat, and cybersex. While none of the individiual elements is particularly new, we have come up with a novel twist to complement his patented invention which will mean our site is compatible with any toy available.

We spent months discussing ideas and the possibilities and finally decided to take the plunge and look for some developers. We put a specification together and sent it out to numerous local and interantional developers and after about a month of deliberating, decided to go with a local firm. I was initially very sceptical about their proposal but after speaking with them I was confident that they would actually be capable of delivering the goods, as long as we held their hands a little and told them exactly what we wanted.

So, we are currently designing the site for them, by drawing up little pencil sketches of each screen, and marking out where each link should take the user. This helps us understand in our minds exactly how we need our site to work, and also makes us think of all the little details that we may otherwise have missed. its a way of letting us think about the site from the user’s perspective before it is even built.

At the moment we are designing the “User Profile” area having nailed the “Home”, “Sign Up”, “Login” pages, and we expect to have this finished in the next couple of weeks as we areboth only able to work on it at weekends, which can be a real pain.
